The Crusheen Community Centre was originally the central national school in the parish, and was built in 1884. In 1979, the current national school was opened and the old school became a Community Centre for the people of the parish. It remains a focal point for social activities which include traditional music and dancing classes, folk group practices, aerobics, unislim, childrens' art classes, meetings of local organisations, youth-club etc. The Community centre also hosts the annual Comhaltas Christmas concert.
