Located on the N18, eight miles from Ennis, approximately 29 miles from both Galway and Limerick, Crusheen is one of the most rapidly growing rural communities in both Clare and Ireland. During the Celtic Tiger era of the late nineties Crusheen’s population soared. It grew by a staggering 25% beween 1997 and 2002 and with further plans for new housing schemes his development is far from over.
Crusheen is filled with rugged countryside and boasts some spectacular
views. It has a wealth of features of archaeological interest and borders
on the unique Burren area.
The parish has many social, sporting and cultural groups, which contribute
to
it’s admirable vibrancy.
